Your organization is the top-level container in BlackMountain. It holds all workspaces, teams, members, and shared resources. This article explains how to create, configure, and manage organizations.
What is an Organization?
Definition: Organization = your company, all resources, members, settings
Organizations can contain multiple workspaces
Access control at organization level (Owner, Manager, Viewer)
Organization-wide sharing of Assistants, Agents, Knowledge Bases
Creating an Organization
How to Create an Organization
Navigate to Settings → Organizations
Click Create organization (top right)
Enter Organization Name
(Optional) Add Context to define how AI should behave for this organization. You can also skip this step and add the context later in the context tab.
Click Create
Organization Settings
Once created, you can configure your organization through several tabs.
General Settings
Organization Name
Organization Slug (z.B. acme-corp.eu)
Created Date
Workspaces Tab
See, manage and create all workspaces within this organization.
Teams Tab
View, create and manage all teams across your organization.
Members Tab
Invite and manage all members at the organization level.
Branding Tab
Customize your organization's visual identity.
Organization Logo
Upload logos for Light Mode and Dark Mode
Logos appear in the header when this organization is selected
Supported formats: PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP
Max file size: 2MB
Organization Icon
Upload a square icon for sidebar navigation (when collapsed)
Separate icons for Light Mode and Dark Mode

Context Tab
Define how AI should behave across your organization.
AI Context provides organization-wide instructions that influence how Assistants, Agents, and Chat respond. This could include:
Your industry, products, or target audience
Communication style and tonality preferences
Brand guidelines
Relevant company context or internal guidelines
AI Context applies automatically to all workspaces and teams within this organization
You can add addtional context at workspace or team level
Context can only be changed by members with Manager or Owner roles
Managing Organization Members
Inviting Members
Navigate to Settings → Organizations → [Your Organization] → Members Tab
Click Invite Member
Enter the member's email address
Assign a role: Owner, Manager, or Viewer
Click Send Invitation
Roles & Permissions
Role | Permissions |
Owner | Full control over settings, members, and resources. Can delete the organization. |
Manager | Can manage members and resources. Limited settings access. |
Viewer | Read-only access to shared resources. |
Deleting an Organization
Warning: Deleting an organization is permanent and cannot be undone. All workspaces, teams, members, and data will be permanently deleted.
How to Delete an Organization
Navigate to Settings → Organizations → [Your Organization]
Scroll down to the Danger Zone
Click Delete Organization
Confirm the deletion in the dialog
