BlackMountain handles all billing through Stripe, a secure third-party payment provider. You can access your billing details directly from within the platform at any time.
The Billing & Usage Overview
The Billing & Usage page gives you a real-time snapshot of your organization's subscription status and platform activity. You can find it under Settings > Billing.
The following information is displayed on this page:
Item | Description |
Subscription | Your current plan and its status (e.g. Active), plus the next billing date |
Seats | Number of occupied seats vs. total seats available in your plan |
BM Tokens Remaining | Token balance remaining for the current billing period |
Current Month Spending | Tokens consumed in the current billing month |
Total Tokens | Cumulative token usage across all requests |
Total Requests | Total number of AI requests sent in the current period |
Who can access Billing settings?
Only users with the Owner role at the organization level can access and manage billing settings.
Opening the Stripe Billing Portal
All subscription and payment management takes place in the Stripe billing portal, which opens in a separate browser tab.
To access it:
Go to Settings in the left-hand navigation
Select Billing under the Organization section
Click Manage Billing in the top right corner of the Billing & Usage page
You will be redirected to the BlackMountain billing portal, powered by Stripe.
Returning to the platform:
Use the Return to BlackMountain GmbH link on the left side of the Stripe portal to go back to the platform.
Current Subscription
At the top of the Stripe portal you can see your Current Subscription, including:
Your active plan name (e.g. Starter)
The monthly price
Your next billing date
To cancel your subscription, click Cancel subscription in the top right corner of this section.
Before cancelling:
Cancelling your subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If you have questions about your plan, contact our support team before proceeding.
Payment Method
The Payment Method section shows your currently saved payment method, or indicates that none has been added yet.
Adding a Payment Method
Click + Add payment method in the Payment Method section
Select your preferred payment type: Card or Amazon Pay
For card payments: enter your card number, expiration date, security code, and country
Click Add to save
Accepted card brands include Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. You can also use Stripe Link for a faster checkout experience.
Secure payments:
All payment data is processed securely by Stripe. BlackMountain GmbH does not store your card details.
Billing Information
The Billing Information section displays the name associated with your organization's billing account. To update your billing details:
Click Update information in the Billing Information section
Update the relevant fields: Name, Email, Address (country), Phone number
Click Save to apply your changes
Invoice History
The Invoice History section lists all past invoices for your organization. Each entry shows:
The invoice date
The amount charged
The payment status (e.g. Paid)
The associated plan
Use the search icon in the top right of the Invoice History section to find a specific invoice.
Troubleshooting
I can't find the Manage Billing button
Make sure you are signed in with an Owner account. The Billing section in Settings is only visible to users with Owner-level access at the organization level.
The Stripe portal is not loading
Try opening the portal in a new browser tab or disabling browser extensions that may block third-party redirects. If the issue persists, contact our support team.
My invoice shows a different amount than expected
BM Token usage is tracked in real time on the Billing & Usage page. If you notice a discrepancy, check your Current Month Spending and Total Tokens values and contact support if anything looks incorrect.
