Model availability may vary depending on your subscription plan. Contact your organization administrator if a specific model is unavailable.

How to Switch Models

You can change the model at any time — before or during a conversation:

  1. Click the model selector dropdown in the input field

  2. Select your desired model from the list

  3. Continue your conversation — the new model has access to the full conversation history

Switching mid-conversation:

You can change models at any point. The new model will have access to the entire conversation history and can continue where the previous model left off.

Setting a Default Model

You can set a preferred default model that will be used for all new conversations:

  1. Open Settings from the profile menu

  2. Under Chat, select your preferred default model

  3. All new conversations will use this model unless you change it

Best Practices

  • Match the model to your task — Don't default to one model for everything. Use Claude Opus 4.6 for reviewing long contracts, GPT-5 Nano for drafting routine emails, and Gemini 2.5 Pro for analyzing large datasets.

  • Switch models if results aren't optimal — If a response doesn't meet your needs, try the same prompt with a different model. Each model has different strengths and response styles.

  • Consider cost vs. capability — Not every task requires the most powerful model. Use premium models (GPT-5.2, Claude Opus 4.6) for high-stakes work and efficient models (GPT-5 Nano, Claude Haiku 4.5, Mistral Small 3.2) for routine tasks.

  • Use thinking mode for complex problems — When working with multi-step reasoning or technical analysis, enable thinking mode on Gemini 2.5 Pro to see the model's reasoning process.

Next Steps
