Working with Uploaded Files
Once uploaded, files become part of the conversation context. The AI model can read, analyze, and reference their content.
What the AI Can Do with Files
Summarize long documents or reports
Extract key data, tables, or sections
Compare multiple documents and highlight differences
Answer questions based on document content
Translate or reformat content
Analyze charts, diagrams, or images in visual files
Removing a File Before Sending
If you uploaded the wrong file, you can remove it before sending the message.
Locate the file thumbnail in the input field
Click the X icon or Remove button next to the file
The file will be removed from the message
Upload a different file or proceed without attachments
Image Upload & Analysis
Upload images to analyze visual content, extract text, or describe what's in the image.
How to Upload an Image
Click the file upload button
Select an image file (PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, WebP)
The image will appear as a preview in the input field
Add your prompt (e.g., "What does this chart show?")
Click Send
What the AI Can Do with Images
Describe the content of the image
Extract text from screenshots or scanned documents (OCR)
Analyze charts and graphs to summarize data trends
Identify objects, logos, or visual elements
Suggest improvements for designs or layouts
File Upload in Conversations
Uploaded files remain part of the conversation context until you start a new chat or branch the conversation.
File Persistence in Chat
Files are available for the duration of the conversation
You can reference uploaded files in follow-up messages (e.g., "Based on the document from earlier...")
Files are not automatically carried over to new chats
Use Context Branching to create a new conversation while keeping the file context
Re-Uploading Files in a New Chat
If you need to work with the same file in a new conversation:
Start a new chat
Upload the file again
Continue your analysis or ask new questions
Troubleshooting File Uploads
My file didn't upload
Check the file size — files must be under 25 MB
Verify the file format — unsupported formats cannot be uploaded
Try re-uploading the file
Check your internet connection
The AI didn't analyze my file
Make sure you included a prompt in your message (e.g., "Summarize this document")
Some file formats may have limited support for certain types of analysis
Try rephrasing your question to be more specific
I can't upload multiple files
The maximum number of files per message is 5
If you need to work with more files, upload them in separate messages or use the Knowledge Hub
Best Practices for File Upload
Be specific in your prompts — instead of "Analyze this," try "Summarize the key findings from this report"
Upload relevant files only — too many unrelated files can dilute the AI's focus
Use descriptive filenames — this helps you track which files you uploaded in longer conversations
Combine file types — upload a chart (image) and a report (PDF) together for comprehensive analysis
